The whole body is heat treated for strength and toughness, then the working area is hardened again for wear resistance — a strong body with a hard, durable tip.

HRC 54± 2The YS209 is a multi V die for Amada-type press brakes. V16, V22, V35 and V50 share a 60 mm height and 60 mm body at 85°, with 2 mm and 3 mm shoulder radii, at up to 80 tons per metre.
It is machined from 42CrMo alloy steel, full-body heat treated to HRC 50 ± 2, hardened again on the working area and precision ground. Order it in 835 or 415 mm lengths, or as an 835 or 805 mm segmented set.

A chromium-molybdenum steel chosen for strength under load — up to 80 T/m for this profile.
Full-body heat treatment HRC 50 ± 2, plus induction (HRC 54 ± 2, 3–4 mm) or laser hardening (HRC 54 ± 2, 1–1.5 mm) on the working area.
Working surfaces are ground on CNC grinders for consistent angles from one tool to the next.
Sand blasted / blackened surface; shipped in a wooden crate with soft film layers inside.

Wipe the die, the holder and the seat; install segments with the same orientation.
Select a V opening on this die — V16, V22, V35 or V50 — to match the sheet thickness, and stay within the rated load.
After use, clean and oil the tools and store them in a tooling cabinet to protect the working edges.
